My name is Jeff Mackie and I've been drawing for some time now. I love to entertain people with my art. I had never thought that I could use my skill like this to entertain. It's fun to make people laugh with what I do. After learning the art of caricature drawing I could now use this style of art at all types of events. Making a change from drawing a portait drawing a cartoon has been a real benefit and plus it took me back to the roots of how I began drawing cartoons. I fell in love with cartooning a long time ago but worked mostly on illustrating real portraits for a while. I didn't really do a lot of business with the portraits. But after some years I came across caricature drawing at the Mega Mall in Minneapolis MN. I began working and learning the art of caricature drawing. I picked up some tips from other artist on how to draw a real face as a caricature. It was a bit of a challenge for me to make the transition from drawing a portrait to a caricature type image. I had to begin looking at faces diffrently. I had to go to another place in my mind when drawing a caricature. I still saw the real face but when drawing a caricature I had to subtract some details from the face and learn to create simple lines. So, now I can draw caricatures petty good. I do travel around now and entertain with this fun skill.
